Privacy policy

This policy covers swmslink.com while SWMS Link is in early access. We'll publish the full policy for the app before it launches. SWMS Link ("we", "us") handles personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

When you join early access

Your email address or mobile number.
Your trade and state, and how many SWMS you make a month if you tell us.
Whether you ticked the box to trial SWMS Link in the pilot.
The time you joined, your IP address and browser details, and the ad campaign tags in the link you arrived from.
The wording you agreed to, so we can show we had your consent to contact you.
Which update emails we've sent you, so we never send the same one twice.

When you visit swmslink.com

Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views without cookies and without identifying you. It records the page, your country, your browser type and where you came from. This runs now.
Cloudflare Turnstile checks that the early-access form is filled in by a person.
Google Analytics may load through Cloudflare Zaraz before we start running ads. If it does, it records the pages you view, your device and browser type, your approximate location, how you arrived, and whether you joined early access.
Meta Pixel may load the same way, recording the same visit and sign-up events so we can measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram.

Why we use it

To tell you when SWMS Link launches.
To send occasional emails about what we're building. Each one has an unsubscribe link.
To contact you about the pilot, if you ticked the box.
To see which pages and ads work, so we spend less on the ones that don't.
To keep bots out of the form.
To keep a record of your consent, as the Spam Act 2003 requires.

Cookies and tracking

Cloudflare Web Analytics and Turnstile set no tracking cookies.
If Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel load, they may set cookies (such as _ga and _fbp) on swmslink.com only. We'll update this policy when they're switched on.
They never run in the SWMS Link app, on crew sign-on pages or on builder pages.
We never send your email address, mobile number or form answers to Google or Meta.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we don't load Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel at all.
You can block these cookies in your browser settings, with Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, or in your Facebook ad preferences.

Who we share it with

Cloudflare: hosting, our database, email delivery, bot checks and analytics.
Google: analytics, if Google Analytics is switched on.
Meta: ad measurement, if the Meta Pixel is switched on.
Regulators, courts or police, when the law requires it.

We don't sell personal information.

Information processed overseas

Our database is stored in Cloudflare's Oceania region where available. Cloudflare's global network, Google and Meta may process information in other countries, including the United States.

How long we keep it

Early-access details: until 12 months after launch, or until you unsubscribe.
Consent, send and unsubscribe records: 2 years after we last message you, as proof.
Google Analytics data: up to 14 months, if it's switched on.

Unsubscribing, access and correction

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link. Use it and we stop straight away; we act on any other request to stop within 5 working days.
To see, correct or delete your details, email support@swmslink.com. We'll reply within 30 days.

Complaints

Contact us first at support@swmslink.com. If you're not satisfied with our reply, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

We'll update this policy when our practices change, and before the app launches.
